Zachełmie Kit

A kit to make Zachełmie Socks by Anna Pusiarska (Projekt Młynek) using Martin's Lab Tough Sock (2 skeins).

Each kit includes:

• 1 skein (100 g) of Tough Sock in the main color (MC)
• 1 skein (100 g) of Tough Sock in the contrast color (CC)
• a printed copy of Generations or Pokolenia (if selected), a book curated by Martin's Lab with the Zachełmie pattern and 12 more designs by various designers
• a Martin's Lab printed cotton project bag
• a sachet of no-rinse wool wash

The kit comes in the colors from the book. You can change them to any colors you like.

Finished measurements:
Foot circumference in the widest point 18.5 (21; 23.5) 25.5 cm/7.25 (8.25; 9.25) 10”.

Unstretched sock circumference: 17 (19.5; 22) 24 cm/6.5 (7.5; 8.5) 9.5”.
The length of the leg and foot can be adjusted (the foot should be 1.5 cm/0.5” shorter than your actual foot length; the unstretched sock’s circumference should be approx. 1.5 cm/0.5” smaller than your actual foot’s circumference).

Yarn:
2 (2, 2) 2 skeins of Tough Sock by Martin’s Lab (75% Merino Superwash, 25% Nylon; 400 m/437 yds in 100 g)
Colors: Snow Illusion (MC), Pitch Black (CC)

Needles:
US 1/2.25 mm or size needed to obtain gauge; circular needles 80 cm/32” or double-pointed needles.
US 1.5/2.5 mm; circular needles 80 cm/32” or double-pointed needles for colorwork and casting-on.

Notions:
Stitch markers, a tapestry needle, scissors.

Gauge:
33 sts and 35 rnds = 10 cm/4” in colorwork pattern in the round
on US 1.5/2.5 mm needles, after blocking.

34 sts and 48 rnds = 10 cm/4’’ in stockinette stitch in the round
on US 1/2.25 mm needles, after blocking.

To save your time, check your gauge.
Change the needle size to obtain the right measurements.

Construction:
Colorwork socks worked from the top down, in the round, with a comfortable heel flap. The folded colorwork pleat with hidden ribbing is optional – you can start the project with a classic ribbing.
