***

This non superwash Highland Sport wool is great for sweaters, shawls, scarves, hats and colourwork projects. The fibre is similar to merino but with more sheen, so sleek, springy and lustrous. It is worsted spun from long staple fibres to produce a yarn that is silky and smooth. Good stitch definition. Takes up the dye well to produce strong and vibrant colours.

Highland Sport is hand-dyed in many harmonizing colors, allowing you to create wonderful compositions.

Colour information

Although the skeins come from the same dye bath, they can vary. If working with two or more skeins I recommend alternating strands to obtain a uniform fabric.

I try to depict the true color of yarn but please remember each monitor will be different.
If you have any questions regarding the color, feel free to drop me an email.

Care instructions

Highland wool is not superwash, so hand wash in cool water with a mild wool detergent, without rubbing or wringing. Although every effort is made to exhaust the dye bath, you may find a little colour bleed on the first wash. Squeeze out the excess water, roll in a towel and dry flat.
